Parking
We have received a complaint from St.Brigid’s re parents parking across gate and causing obstruction in their car park.  Please try to adhere strictly to their rules when using their facilities.  Also remember that they are often in class at times when we are passing through, and that we MUST pass through quickly and quietly.!!
We would find life very difficult if were unable to access our school via theirs.  Many thanks to St. Brigid’s B.O.M. who organised tarmacadaming the little slipway between the school during Easter holidays.

Tesco Tokens
Please continue to send in Tesco Tokens.  We will be happy to exchange them for new equipment for use in our new classrooms next term.

Cricket

Cricket continues with Brian O’Rourke.  Good luck to the
team who play their first match in the Leprechaun Cup next week.

Rugby
All pupils have thoroughly enjoyed rugby coaching with Christian Stemmet.  Lessons will finish shortly and some pupils will have the opportunity to take
part in a Rugby Blitz in Westmanstown in May.

GAA
A GAA fun day has been organised on May 6th.  Our team will have the opportunity to play against some local teams – we wish them well!!

Tennis
Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Classes are very fortunate to have the chance to play tennis in Castleknock Tennis Club this term.  Please remember to wear white t-shirt and runners on Tuesdays as we must abide by club rules.

Drama
Our drama teacher Aoife O’Beirne has returned to us this term and is taking Junior Infants and Sixth class for lessons.  Watch out for details of our end of year productions!!

Easter Competition
Many thanks to the P.A who organised the Easter Cake box decorating competition and bake sale. As usual the entries were outstanding and the eats were enjoyed by all!!
Any left- overs were passed on to the Daffodil Day coffee morning on the following day and were greatly appreciated.

Building
Work continues on our extension.  We are hopeful that the project will be completed at the end of June ready for our new school year.  We are all looking forward to having the additional space.

Sports Day
Sports day takes place on June 8th in Castleknock College – details to follow.  Could those who were awarded trophies and cups last year arrange to have all cups engraved and returned to the school by May 6th.

Projects
Once more the school projects were of an exceptional standard.

Well done everyone,   your hard
work paid off.   Visitors to the school were very impressed
indeed by the beautiful displays they made.

Drumcondra Tests
Standardised testing will take place for all pupils from First to Sixth classes between 10th and 21st May.  Please try to avoid any absences between these dates if at all possible.  Results may be collected from school office on 10th & 11th June.

We were all very saddened by the unexpected passing of Marie Meara, Faith’s Mum over the Easter holidays.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
