Tesco Computer Vouchers
Please continue to collect and send in your Tesco Computer tokens. They can be used in exchange for computer software for the school. Thanks again for collecting sports tokens before Christmas. We have received lots of new sports equipment.
Parking
As you are aware we have some new barriers at the front entrance. Many thanks to Mr. Pat Culleton for these. Thank you for keeping the school entrance clear. Thank you also to Fingal Co. Council who repainted the road markings.
Volleyball
Miss. Hills, Miss O’Connell’s and Miss Kidney’s classes will have an opportunity to try some volleyball skills next week.
Cricket
Cricket recommences next week. We welcome back Brian O’Rourke
Quizzes
Well done to 6th class who took part in the Credit Union Quiz and represented the school successfully. Each child who took part received a voucher for Blanchardstown Centre and the School will receive a donation of €500.00.
Beetle Drive
Many thanks to all who supported the Tiny Tots Beetle Drive and raised €957.00 for the Gilbert Family Trust.
School Garden
Look out in the playground; some plants are being donated by the Gibson McKenna family, many thanks! Oliver has been digging to prepare the ground and pupils will be out planting over the next few days.
Potatoes
Miss Kidney’s class are growing potatoes. You may have seen them in the computer room! This is part of a nationwide project sponsored by Agri-Aware.
A Big Thank You to Mr Paul Condell for his help with our computer room. We are most grateful for his time and effort in keeping all the computers up and running – no easy task!
Reminder
Please return all Sports Cups – engraved and polished before May Bank Holiday.
Drama
Welcome Evanna this term who is replacing Aoife O’Byrne while she is on maternity leave.
Appointments
Please phone the office to make an appointment should you wish to see a member of staff during school hours.
Please call to the front of the school during the day if you have an appointment, or are taking your child out. As St. Brigid’s are so kind allowing us the use of their carpark, we think it best not to intrude on them during the day.
R.S.E
The Stay Safe Programme will commence for all classes from senior infants in the coming weeks. If you have any concerns regarding this please contact the class teacher.
Easter Egg Competition
Many thanks to the Parents Association for organising the Easter Egg Competition again this year. All the entries were really imaginative and all who participated really enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Jenny in the Parish Office for being such a wonderful judge.
School Website
Our school website is now online!! Many thanks to Mr. O’Connell and Mr Kelliher for their many hours of hard work putting this together. Thanks also to the pupils and staff who all contributed. If you want to log on, the website is: www.castleknocknationalschool .com
